Explore the Wonders of Siem Reap!  2Days Angkor Wat Temple & Banteay Srey

Day 1: Banteay Srei & Grand Circuit Heritage Temples (with Sunset)

  • Pickup: Between 7:50–8:10 AM (depending on your hotel's location)

  • Drop-off: Between 5:30–6:00 PM

Start your adventure with an exploration of the captivating temples outside Angkor Thom city:

  1. Pre Rup: Kick off with this Hindu temple, built in 961-962 as the state temple of Khmer King Rajendravarman. Constructed with brick, laterite, and sandstone, it showcases remarkable architecture.

  2. Banteay Srei: Admire the intricately carved sandstone reliefs, considered the finest in Cambodia. This gem, accessible since the late 1990s, highlights the rich history of the Khmer Rouge era.

  3. Neak Pean: Visit this unique Buddhist temple built on a circular island at Jayatataka Baray, reflecting serene beauty and symbolic significance.

  4. Preah Khan: Explore this atmospheric temple of crumbling stones and tree roots, constructed by Jayavarman VII in honor of his father. Witness the temple's ongoing restoration by the World Monument Fund.

  • Sunset View: End your day watching the sunset over the temple ruins—a truly magical experience.

  • Return: Late afternoon return to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Angkor Wat Highlights & Sunrise Guided Tour

  • Pickup: Between 4:15–4:35 AM (depending on your hotel's location)

  • Drop-off: Between 12:30–1:30 PM

Your second day begins early with an awe-inspiring sunrise over Angkor Wat:

  1. Angkor Wat at Sunrise: Enter the temple from the lesser-visited eastern side and walk through cloistered corridors to witness the bas-relief carvings. Soak in the tranquil beauty of dawn by the ancient library pools.

  2. Angkor Wat Interior: Spend 2 hours exploring the temple’s corridors, chambers, and upper terraces. Your guide will share stories of the Khmer Empire through the art and carvings.

  3. Breakfast: Enjoy a takeaway breakfast outside Angkor Wat and take a short rest.

  4. Angkor Thom’s Southern Gate: See the gate flanked by rows of 54 stone figures—gods to the left, demons to the right.

  5. The Bayon: Marvel at the 12th-century central towers adorned with over 200 enormous, serene faces.

  6. Terraces: Walk along the Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of Elephants, iconic structures within Angkor Thom.

  7. Ta Prohm: Conclude your tour at this iconic, jungle-engulfed temple, left largely as it was when rediscovered in the 1850s. Its maze-like corridors and atmospheric ruins will captivate you.

  • Lunch & Rest: Enjoy lunch at your own expense before returning to your hotel with unforgettable memories of this World Wonder.
